Easy Access to Brno

Fly to Vienna - recommended first choice

Vienna airport services approximately 100 airlines from the whole world. There is no direct flight from Vienna to Brno because of too short distance. 
 
Easiest transportation from Vienna airport to Brno is with bus operator Student Agency offering 8 connections daily from Vienna to Brno from 16 EUR one way. Duration of the travel is approximately 2,5 hours. Tickets are available online website with German and English version. 
This is the most comfortable way how to get to Brno!

Please make your on-line reservation good in advance as there are free spaces now but it may change short time prior the conference date!

You can also go by train but it is more expensive (23 EUR one way ticket) and there are less departures.

Fly to Brno - recommended second choice

Brno Airport serves airlines with connections to London (Stansted and Luton) and Eindhoven (The Netherlands) and during summer with more than 25 other charter destinations from Europe. Aerodrome is located still within the town territory, next to the D1 Brno-Olomouc motorway. Driving in the direction from Prague, at km 201 there is a motorway exit marked “Slatina” and the off-turn to the aerodrome is distinctly marked. The aerodrome is 2km from the motorway exit.

To the Brno airport you can get very easy from the very centre of the city. From 05:30 till 22:30 you can use the direct bus line No. 76. It departs accurately every 30 minutes from the Brno Main train station and goes via the Main Bus Station (it stops near the tram terminus) and continues directly to the terminus at the Brno Airport. From 23:00 till 05:00 you can use the night bus No. 89. It departs every 30 or 60 minutes from the Brno Main train station and goes directly to the terminus at the Brno Airport. The travel time from the centre to the airport is in both cases about 20 minutes. For one journey you need the 2-zones ticket valid for 60 minutes. It costs 22 CZK (0,70 GBP or 0,80 EUR) for adults and 11 CZK for children younger than 15 years.

Fly to Bratislava - recommended third choice

Bratislava airport services 25 European destinations. Easiest transportation from Bratislava to Brno is with bus operator Student Agency offering 2-3 connections daily from Bratislava to Brno from 9 EUR one way. Duration of the travel is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. Tickets are available online website with German and English version.
Twelve daily train connections operated by Czech Rail take together with bus some 2,5 hours and cost from 25 EUR.

Access to Brno by train or car

Brno is located some 200 km south-east of Prague (2,5 hours), 130 km north of Vienna (1,5 hours ) and 129 km northwest from Bratislava, on main Czech highway D1 and D2 and on main train line from Prague to Bratislava and Vienna, as well as Ostrava and Poland.

During the summer timetable some 53 scheduled airlines offer direct flights from Prague Airport to 134 destinations and 52 countries.

Bus AE (Airport Express): A special airport bus providing direct interconnection of air, rail and urban mass transit from 5:30 to 22:30.

Czech Rails offer 12 times daily bus and train connection from Prague airport to Brno with its own airport to train service, whole duration is 3,5 hours and price starts at 15 EUR one way.
