Easy Access to Brno

Brno is located in the south-eastern part of the country, at the confluence of the Svitava and Svratka rivers, at the crossroads of ancient trade routes which have joined northern and southern European civilizations for centuries.Brno is located some 200km south east of Prague, 120km north of Vienna and 129km northwest of Bratislava on the main Czech highway D1 and D2.
From Brno you can travel by regular direct connections to 3 capitals – Vienna (Austria), Prague (Czech Republic) and Bratislava (Slovak Republic). The journey to Vienna and Bratislava takes 1,5 hours by train, to Prague you can travel by bus or train 2,5 hours. A return ticket to these destinations approximately costs 8 GBP/EUR. There are also many connections to Olomouc (1,5 h ), Ostrava and Northern Moravia (2 h).

Brno Airport

Brno Airport serves nine airlines with connections to Prague, London (Stansted), Milan (Bergamo), Alicante, London (Luton), Rome (Fiumicino), Moscow (Domodedovo), St.Petersburg (Pulkovo), Moscow (Vnukovo) and during summer with more than 25 other charter destinations from Europe. Aerodrome is located still within the towm territory, next to the D1 Brno-Olomouc motorway. Driving in the direction from Prague, at km 201 there is a motorway exit marked “Slatina” and the off-turn to the aerodrome is distinctly marked. The aerodrome is 2km from the motorway exit. To the Brno airport you can get very easy from the very centre of the city. From 05:30 till 22:30 you can use the direct bus line No.76. It departs accurately every 30 minutes from the Brno Main train station and goes via the Mai Bus Station (it stops near the tram terminus) and continues directly to the terminus at the Brno Airport. From 23:00 till 05:00 you can use the night bus No.89. It departs every 30 or 60 minutes from the Brno Main train station and goes directly to the terminus at the Brno Airport. The travel time from the centre to the airport is in both cases about 20 minutes. For one journey you need the 2-zones ticket valid for 60 minutes. Access to Brno by train or car

Brno is located some 200 km south-east of Prague (2,5 hours), 130 km north of Vienna (1,5 hours ) and 129 km northwest from Bratislava, on main Czech highway D1 and D2 and on main train line from Prague to Bratislava and Vienna, as well as Ostrava and Poland.

Access from Prague

During the summer timetable some 53 scheduled airlines offer direct flights from Prague Airport to 134 destinations and 52 countries.

Access from Vienna

Vienna airport services approximately 100 airlines from the whole world. Ther is no direct flight from Vienna to Brno because of too short distance. Easiest transportation from Vienna airport to Brno is with bus operator Student Agency offering 5 connections daily from Vienna to Brno from 13 EUR one way. Duration of the travel is approximately 2,5 hours. Tickets are available online website with German and English version. Travellers can also use the combination of CAT / fast Vienna airport train) and rail, offering 14 daily connections from Vienna airport to Brno with combined travel time around 3 hours, at prices from 24 EUR.

Access from Bratislava

Bratislava airport services 25 European destinations. Easiest transportation from Bratislava to Brno is with bus operator Student Agency offering 2-3 connections daily from Bratislava to Brno from 9 EUR one way. Duration of the travel is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. Tickets are available online website with German and English version.
Twelve daily train connections operated by Czech Rail take together with bus some 2,5 hours and cost from 25 EUR.
