Dear participants,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank to all of you for your participation at the very first hybrid EUGEO 2021 Congress. We hope you have enjoyed all sessions during four days of excellent presentations.

  • We had 357 participants in total – 113 participants in-person, 244 virtual participants
  • 34 countries were represented
  • 381 exciting presentations were given by 322 speakers in 44 sessions
  • We have had a very lively online interaction with more than 295 Q&A messages so far

Many thanks to all presenters of the congress for their willingness to run through our test sessions, doing pre-recordings. Thank you for your excellent contributions you made to the congress!

Also special thanks go to our partner Czech Convention Bureau – CzechTourism for its kind support.

Even though we had around 70 virtual followers at the peak time we understood that not all of you were able to attend all presentations.

Recorded presentations for which we have author’s consent are available now for playback at the EUGEO congress website under the Programme folder (click on individual presentations and please note you must be logged in) – until the end of September 2021.

In case of vaccination certificates, one of the following rules applies:

c) at least 14 days have passed since the first vaccine dose was administered for a single dose vaccination scheme based on the SPC, but not more than 9 months.

and the persons must also be free from covid-19 symptoms.

Hybrid vs. virtual event
For those, who are already planning your travel to Prague for in-person participation. Although we remain slightly optimistic, please note that it has still to be decided, if the congress will be allowed to be hybrid, or will have to be virtual only. Due to regulations at the congress venue, final decision will be made during the next week (beginning 31 May). Once the possibility of physical participation at the congress venue will be approved, the LOC will inform registered participants immediately.

Post-congress publication
There are no congress proceedings being planned for the 8th EUGEO congress, however the congress has partnered with several renowned peer-reviewed journals which are opened to consider publication of contributions from the congress participants. See the offers of individual journals here.
